Las Vegas is a happening city, hosting five Hot Ticket events in the past month with the help of a couple of annual events and a few popular residencies. National Finals Rodeo kicked up the dirt at Thomas & Mack Center Dec. 4-13. The 10-day Las Vegas Events-promoted “Super Bowl of rodeo” was attended by 171,680 people and grossed $11,605,455. Tickets ranged from $55 to $250. College football thundered into Sam Boyd Stadium as the Utah Utes and Colorado State Rams faced off in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl XXIII game. With tickets ranging from $25 to $250, 28,662 fans showed up on Dec. 20 to witness the Utes’ 45-10 victory at the ESPN-promoted matchup.
Britney Spears continued to find success as a Vegas headliner at The Axis at Planet Hollywood with her four Dec. 27-31 shows earning $2,799,641 and attracting 16,895 people. Spears’ Caesars Entertainment show will continue at The Axis with tickets at $54 to $495. Another Vegas headliner, Shania Twain, performed six shows from Dec. 6-13 for a total of 21,148 people and a gross of $2,630,383 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. With Concerts West, AEG Live and Caesars Entertainment promoting, ticket prices ranged from $55 to $250. Jeff Dunham continued to made Vegas laugh for 16 shows Nov. 28-Dec.14, drawing 13,385 people to the Planet Hollywood Showroom with $85 tickets. The AEG Live-promoted shows grossed $1,137,725.
