Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) wrapped up their 2014 Winter Tour: The Christmas Attic, which lasted from Nov. 13 to Jan. 4. In just under two months, TSO performed 122 shows, grossing more than $51 million. TSO made it onto our Hot Tickets Chart this week for their performances at Santander Arena, Reading, Pa. More than 12,800 fans paid $30.50 to $60.50 to see the Larry Magid Entertainment-promoted event on Jan. 3. The two shows grossed $628,506. The 2014 Winter Tour averaged nearly $1 million per day during its run. O’Neill revealed that TSO is in the recording studio working on a new album to be released in fall of 2015, just in time for their 2015 Winter Tour.
All Stars of Hip-Hop saw Public Enemy, KRS-One, Naughty By Nature, Big Daddy Kane, MC Lyte, and Special Ed on one stage at Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall this year. The annual event has made it onto our Hot Tickets chart yet again, only this year it has doubled in size. Last year saw 3,800 fans and grossed more than $202,000, while this year allowed 7,700 fans into the star-studded event, grossing more than $465,000. The Platinum Production-promoted event was held on Jan. 18.
Amy Schumer made our chart for the first time with her New Year's Eve performance at Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Conn. The in-house promoted event had over 5,600 fans in attendance, and grossed nearly $241,000. Schumer is gearing up to start her Inside Amy Schumer’s Back Door Tour on March 11 at Playhouse Square State Theatre, Cleveland.
