Latin stars dominated our Hot Tickets chart this week from Puerto Rico all the way to Los Angeles. The Coliseo de Puerto Rico, San Juan, saw back-to-back weekends place on our chart, first with the homegrown reggaeton duo Zion y Lennox. La Z y la L, as they are also known, brought in just under $1 million for their two concerts Feb. 7-8. With ticket prices ranging from $15 to $150, 18,255 fans came out to see the Jose Dueno Entertainment-promoted event. The following weekend saw Latin Grammy-winning Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi play the building. With more than 21,000 fans in attendance, the Tony Mojena Entertainment-promoted event brought in nearly $1.1 million with two shows over the Feb. 14-15 weekend. In Texas, Juan Gabriel played to a full house at Laredo Energy Arena with more than 8,700 tickets sold. The Cardenas Marketing Network and Live Nation-promoted event had ticket prices ranging from $57 to $222 and grossed $915,000 on Feb. 21. Finally, Los Angeles fans packed Nokia Theatre L.A. Live to see Roberto Tapia at the AEG Live and Goldenvoice-promoted concert. The Feb. 13 event grossed nearly $500,000 with 6,155 tickets sold ranging from $35 to $250.
Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, Jeff Dunham continues to bring in fans for his Not Playing With a Full Deck residency at Planet Hollywood Showroom. With just over 16,000 tickets sold for 16 shows at $85 a ticket, Dunham grossed nearly $1.4 million between Jan. 28 – Feb. 15. The residency, which began in November of 2014, continues with 55 more shows scheduled between Feb. 25 and May 31.
