Global Entertainmenthas expanded Paul Adam’s A&R responsibilities by making him senior vice president A&R, working across the UK and U.S. for recorded music and music publishing.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau has added Walden Agustin Sr. as senior National Accounts director. Agustin most recently worked with the San Francisco Travel Association, where he was responsible for Midwest corporate accounts.

Rockhouse Partners has promoted Brian Bauer to the position of senior director of Business Development after three years as senior account manager. Bauer will be responsible for spearheading the company’s new event production division.

The Miami Dolphins have named Nicole Bienert as vice president of Partnership Activation & Retention. She most recently served as senior director of Team Marketing & Business Operations with the National Basketball Association.

Jason Blumenfeld has joined the Global Spectrum-managed Canalside in Buffalo, N.Y., as assistant general manager after working as assistant general manager for Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, S.C.

Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, Fla., has promoted Megan Brennan from Marketing director to vice president of Marketing. Four marketing staff members have also been promoted, including Katie Mae to director of Marketing, Katie Pedretty to director of Public Relations, Adam Burr to director of Sales and Randy Gilmore to Art director.

Global Entertainment has hired Nicola Carson as vice president of Artist Management, based in Los Angeles.  Carson most recently worked at Modest! Management where she oversaw Leona Lewis, One Direction and others on the U.S. roster. 

After a nationwide search, the Board of Directors of the State Fair of West Virginia. Fairlea, voted unanimously to appoint Kelly Tuckwiller Collins to the position of CEO, effective immediately. Collins joined the fair staff in 2012 as Agricultural Competitions manager. In 2014, she was named Operations manager.

San Diego Theatres, Inc., which runs the Civic Theatre and Balboa Theatre for the city of San Diego, has named Elizabeth Doran as the new CEO, replacing Donald Telford, who is retiring after serving nearly 40 years. Doran currently serves as executive director of the Pasadena Playhouse and will take over in May.

John Grady, associate professor in the Department of Sport Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina, has been elected president of the Sport and Recreation Law Association. His three-year term begins in March 2016.

MSO PR has promoted Alexandra Greenberg as senior vice president at the company. Greenberg joined MSO PR in 2001. Before MSO PR, Greenberg worked as publicist at People’s Revolution and a publicity manager at Red Ant Entertainment.

The Agency Group has brought on Andre Guerette as booking agent to The Agency Group Canada. He launched Guerette Agency in 2014, representing over 30 artists and worked as an artist manager and booking agent at Opak for several years.

Opera North (U.S.A), Ft. Washington, Pa., has appointed Evans Haile as its new general director. Haile’s career spans more than 30 years during which he has worked at Lincoln Center and North Shore Music Theater. 

Global Spectrum has named Matthew Herpich general manager for Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. Herpich has been with Global Spectrum for nine years, most recently serving as general manager of Wolstein Center in Cleveland.

Jason Hull has been appointed director of Sales, Meetings and Conventions for AEG Facilities. Most recently, Hull served as West Coast Account director of Group Entertainment Sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Atlanta.

Ben Karter joins Global Entertainment as general manager of Recorded Music, UK. Previously, Karter was director at James Grant management, head of Marketing at Mercury Records and has worked at Sony Music.

Legends has hired Dale Koger as senior vice president, Managing Director of its new Project Development division. Koger most recently served 13 years as general manager of Turner Construction Company’s Sports and Public Assembly Group.

Knitting Factory Entertainment has hired Peter Manning as senior talent buyer for their Knitting Factory Presents division. Manning joins Knitting Factory from C3 Presents where he worked as talent buyer for Caesars Entertainment Properties.

Turner Construction Company has expanded the leadership team of its Sports and Public Assembly Group with the promotion of Dave Massel and Frank Gramarossa to vice presidents and construction executives and the addition of Mark Simonides as vice president and construction executive.

Global Entertainment has hired Monti Olson as an executive vice president and managing director of Worldwide Music Publishing, leading global publishing in the Los Angeles and London offices. Olson joins from Universal Publishing where he served as executive vice president/head of A&R Global Publishing.

Staff Pro has expanded its team with the hiring of Jenniffer Pacheco. Pacheco started as event manager then sales manager at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center and most recently worked as event manager with Bobit Business Media.

The Greenville (S.C.) Arena District Board of Directors has appointed Beth Paul as general manager of Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Paul has served as the interim general manager since November 2014, replacing Roger Newton, who is retiring after 40 years in the business. Paul has been working with the arena for over nine years, first as its director of Finance, then as assistant general manager.

Stadium Managers Association’s 2015 directors include Tony Pereira, CFE, Senior director of Ballpark Operations, Seattle Mariners/ Safeco Field, and Mike McFaul, director of Engineering and Maintenance, BC Place, Vancouver. Officers to serve a term of one year, include Mark Burk, Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, president; Tony Pereira, Safeco Field, Seattle, vice president and Troy Brown, Chicago White Sox, secretary/treasurer.

Music for All has hired Kathryn Reinhardt as Marketing coordinator. Reinhardt joins Music for All Indianapolis office after having served as a media specialist for several public relations firms.

Capitol Theatre in Yakima, Wash., has appointed Charlie Robin as CEO. Robin served 14 years as executive director of the Edison Theatre at Washington University in St. Louis.

Valley Performing Arts Center has hired Susan von Seggern as its new public relations consultant. She has worked in Los Angeles for 20 years as a major label publicist and CEO of a boutique PR agency with experience in political and corporate PR.

Global Entertainment has hired Bob Semanovich as senior vice president of Marketing based in Los Angeles. Most recently, Semanovish was responsible for marketing strategy at Capitol Records. 

Scott Simoneaux has been hired as talent buyer for the recently launched Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. Simoneaux brings his experience booking venues in Los Angeles and New Orleans to the new role.

Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield (Conn.) University has named Peter Van Heerden executive director. Most recently, Van Heerden served as executive director of Westport (Conn.) Arts Center.

The Professional Convention Management Association has named Arlis Whalum as its chief financial officer. Whalum joins PCMA from the American Planning Association where he served as director of finance for 17 years.

AL BUNETTA — 72, producer, manager and record company president, March 22 in Nashville. Bunetta was manager for John Prine for more than 40 years. Bunetta and Prine founded Oh Boy! Records in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Dawn.

THOMAS K. SCALLEN — 89, one-time owner of Ice Follies, Holiday on Ice, Ice Capades and the Harlem Globetrotters, March 21 in Minneapolis. Scallen was a lawyer, banker and businessman, professional sports team owner, theater operator and producer, television producer and film maker. His extensive career truly began when he founded Medical Investment Corporation (Medicor) to rent medical equipment to hospitals and doctors. In the late 60s, he acquired and produced Shipstads and Johnson Ice Follies. He was co-owner of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League at one point in his career. Near the end, he owned venues in Minneapolis, including Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Minneapolis. Scallen’s accomplishments also include: The Combat Infantry Badge and a Bronze Star, for heroic or meritorious conduct in combat in Europe, SVP and managing officer of the Olmstead County Bank of Rochester, Minn., president of the Lake City Bank of Lake City, Minn.; and, from 1964 to 1969, the founder, president, and CEO of the Bank of Minneapolis; SVP, Executive Committee member, and director of 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, as well as chairman of the Blaine Thompson Company, a leading New York theater advertising firm; chairman and owner of Apache Plastics, Inc., and Airport Express; chairman of Century Park Pictures Corporation; member of the Producer's Guild of America; producing and directing the Rockette's Holiday Salute to Radio City Music Hall for NBC; six television specials for the Ice Follies; three television specials for the Ice Capades; and five live shows for Caesars Palace, Las Vegas; and producer and CEO of the Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus. He is survived by his wife, Bille Jo, his twin brother, Raymond (Mary), as well as younger brothers Stephen (Chacke) and Terrence (Joan); his children: Thomas (Mary Beth), Sheila Gregory, Patrick (Margo), Eileen Scallen (Marianne), Maureen Failor (Greg), and Timothy (Katy); his grandchildren: Bridget (Peter), Meghan, Brian (Amanda), Kevin, Patrick, Michael (Julie), Sean, Daniel, Jack, Conor, Annie (Shawn), Molly, Paul, Brad (Katie), Lisa (Rick), Timothy, Catherine, Erin, Colleen; and eight great-grandchildren.
