New Kids on the Block is inducted into Mohegan Sun Arena's Walk of Fame.
Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Conn., inducted New Kids on the Block into their Walk of Fame June 12 before their ninth consecutive sold-out show. The Main Event Tour marks the band's third successful tour, this time with the surviving members of TLC and Nelly. In 2011, the NKOTBSB Tour brought together NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys. Then in 2013, NKOTB joined forces with Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees for The Package Tour. The June 12 concert grossed $700,000 with ticket prices ranging from $60 to $100. The in-house-promoted event saw 8,500 fans packed into the arena. Catch The Main Event Tour next at TD Garden, Boston with back-to-back shows June 24-25.
Take That took London by storm grossing $15.9 million during nine shows at The O2 Arena. Following the release of their seventh studio album, Take That Live 2015 launched at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland on April 27. Despite losing members Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, each stop in the United Kingdom has seen two to nine shows per venue with added dates due to high demand. Tickets at The O2 Arena ranged from $87 to $277 for the SJM-promoted concerts. In October, European fans will be able to see the British pop sensations at 10 more stops throughout the EU, beginning Oct. 1 at Jyske Bank Boxen, Herning, Denmark.
