Prior to their record-setting 12th sold-out show at Staples Center, Los Angeles, on June 18—the most by any artist in the history of the arena—Mana met Patty Flores, AEG Live; Christy Castillo Butcher, Staples Center; Lee Zeidman, Staples Center; and Rebeca Leon, AEG Live.
Maná, the pop-rock band from Guadalajara, Mexico, formed in 1986, kicked off their latest tour, Cama Incendiada. Beginning in San Diego at Valley View Casino Center, the Latin superstars played to a sold-out show of 10,500. With ticket prices ranging from $45 to $195, the AEG Live- and Goldenvoice-promoted tour date grossed nearly $940,000. Heading up to Los Angeles for two shows at Staples Center June 18-20, Maná played their fifth sold-out show of their tour for more than 28,000 fans. The two shows grossed $3.2 million with a ticket range of $59 to $350. The 26-stop tour will play State Farm Arena, Hidalgo, Texas, on July 9, and will travel through Europe and Africa before ending in their hometown at Auditorio Telmex, Guadalajara, Nov. 14.
OneRepublic played to a sold-out crowd at Hallenstadion, Zurich, on June 12. The abc Productions-promoted event grossed $930,000 with 13,000 fans in attendance. Currently on the fifth European leg of their three-year Native Tour, the band has only seven shows remaining. The Native tour, which began in Milan, Italy at Alcatraz on April 2, 2013, is ending in São Paulo, Brazil at Espaço das Américas on Sept. 20. British fans can catch OneRepublic at Wembley Arena, London with two shows July 10-12.
