Elephants with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Xtreme beat the heat at Staples Center, Los Angeles, with some frozen treats.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Circus XTREME, undoubtedly the most modern circus produced by Feld Entertainment, was a huge success in Los Angeles at Staples Center. Twelve shows grossed just over $1 million in ticket sales alone during the July 9-14 run. With ticket prices ranging from $15 to $110, more than 56,000 fans were able to catch the show. The Circus XTREME show is a mix of the contemporary elements, like BMX stunts, with the classic Bengal tigers and Asian elephants. This is, most likely, the last tour that will feature elephants in the show, as Feld is set to retire their elephants to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation in 2018. Fans can catch The Greatest Show on Earth in Anaheim, Calif., next from July 24-Aug. 2 at Honda Center.
Rush played to a sold-out crowd at Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, on June 25. With ticket prices ranging from $46 to $151, the Live Nation-promoted event grossed more than $1.3 million with 13,000 fans in attendance. Rush is on their #R40LIVE 40th Anniversary Tour, which began May 8 at BOK Center, Tulsa. The band has made its way across North America and will play on July 23 at SAP Center, San Jose, Calif., next. With only five shows remaining on the tour, Rush is gearing up to end in Los Angeles Aug. 1 at The Forum.
