Aerosmith wrapped up their Blue Army Tour across North America Aug. 7 in Canton, Ohio at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, but not before making it on our Hot Tickets chart one last time. The Live Nation-promoted night grossed $860,000 at Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, Mich. With nearly 10,000 in attendance at the Aug. 4 performance, ticket prices ranged from $25 to $150. Although Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, is releasing his first solo country album, the band has stated that they plan to release a 16th studio album in the future.
The Foo Fighters played to a sold-out crowd in Edmonton, Alberta at Rexall Place on Aug. 12. With more than 12,800 fans in attendance, the Live Nation-promoted event grossed $1.4 million. The band is currently more than half way through their Sonic Highways World Tour that began in December of 2014. The Sonic Highways World Tour will make 83 stops before ending in Barcelona at Palau Sant Jordi. Despite seven European stops being canceled throughout June 14-26 after Dave Grohl broke his leg while on stage, the tour has been back on schedule. Fans can catch the band next at Sprint Center, Kansas City, Mo. on Aug. 19.
