The Shaw Conference Centre (SCC), Edmonton, Alberta, has announced the appointment of Lisanne Lewis to the role of general manager. Lewis joined the Shaw Conference Centre in 2011 as the director of Business and Community Development, overseeing the convention center's sales, client services and marketing departments. Prior to joining SCC, she held senior marketing and communications management roles in organizations across a variety of sectors, with extensive experience in venue management, arenas, exhibitions and major event production.
Lewis currently sits on the Board of Governors for the International Association of Venue Managers and has served as the past Board Chair for Alberta Women Entrepreneurs and Homeless Connect Edmonton
