A PAC 8 preview offered a sneak peek at the new product, with an overview of general structure, user administration and patron account functionality. The web-based product was built on an intuitive user face with a responsive design that supports touch screens. The responsive design creates a “patron in your pocket,” allowing access to data on any device at any time.
Integration is key and will be present between PAC 7 and PAC 8 operators and between outside systems, as well as between patron and donor accounts. Here are some of the PAC 8 features you can look forward to:

Better collection of relationship information
Stored person-to-person, not account-to-account, captures more connections and affiliations with other organizations, data mine to help with fundraising effort.

Record important interactions with customers
Touchpoints capture email, phone and meetings and to dos for each account.

Create role-based permissions to protect your data
Assign users to roles, set permissions per role.

Simplified patron import
Easier to configure data set and data mapping, better preview of data before you import, import process will be run as a background process.

Backward compatible with PAC 7
A new patron added in PAC 7 will be pushed to PAC 8, creating a tool to “clean” data before importing it the new system.
