Mumford & Sons wrapped up their North American leg of their Wilder Mind World tour, but not before making it onto our chart with a sold-out performance at Alliant Energy Center, Madison, Wis., April 22. The Frank Productions-promoted event grossed $593,000 with nearly 10,000 fans in attendance. The Wilder Mind tour is currently making its way through Europe. Fans in Prague, Czech Republic, can catch the group at O2 Arena on May 20.
Def Leppard kicked off yet another summer tour May 4 in Lafayette, La., at the Cajundome, joined this year by REO Speedwagon and Tesla. Def Leppard made our chart twice this week for two stops grossing just under $975,000 in ticket sales alone. The first stop was in Hidalgo, Texas, at State Farm Arena where more than 4,600 fans turned out to see the English rockers. Next, the tour stopped in Uncasville, Conn., at Mohegan Sun Arena to play to a sold-out crowd of 7,100 fans. The Live-Nation-promoted tour will stop in 55 cities before wrapping up Oct. 10 at U.S. Cellular Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
