Dolly Parton began her Pure & Simple Tour this week with four back-to-back sell-out performances, two of which appear on our Hot Tickets chart this week. The 64-stop North American tour will be Parton’s biggest tour yet. The NS2-promoted tour saw more than 15,700 fans in attendance at the two performances June 4 at Infinite Energy Arena, Duluth, Ga. and June 7 at Charleston (W.Va.) Civic Center, grossing $1.35 million in ticket sales alone. Fans can catch Parton on her next stop June 17 at Koussevitzky Music Shed, Lenox, Mass.
Carrie Underwood and her The Storyteller tour continue to dominate our Hot Tickets chart with four spots on our chart this week for four sold-out performances. The Storyteller tour returned from its first European leg of the tour March 17, and has been selling out concerts night after night. Grossing more that $3.68 million at the four shows May 17-30, fans saw ticket prices ranging from $46 to $80. Underwood and her Storyteller tour will continue to tour throughout the United States and Canada before ending in West Valley City, Utah at the Maverik Center Nov. 28.
