Boudevin Moves To Spectra; Sullivan Moves To Singapore

Former Venues Today managing editor and WFA communications manager Jessica Boudevin has taken the position of corporate marketing manager at Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, Irvine, Calif.

In here most recent role as communications manager for Western Fairs Association, she focused on legislative issues. During her time there she spearheaded the efforts surrounding California Fairgrounds Appreciation Month, including Legislative Resolutions ACR-74 (Bigelow) in 2015 and ACR-186 (Bigelow) in 2016, exhibits outside the Governor's office and receptions at the California State Capitol.

Boudevin became familiar with Spectra during her time with Venues Today, where she worked as managing editor. Boudevin spent six years with the magazine, starting as an intern in 2009, later being hired on as editorial assistant and then moving on to becoming  staff writer in July 2011, before being named managing editor.

Boudevin graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a bachelor's degree in literature and spent her youth on-camera, reporting on the entertainment industry.

Boudevin replaces Steve Brown, who left to pursue an opportunity with the American Hockey League's San Diego Gulls, an affiliate with the National Hockey League's Anaheim (Calif.) Ducks.

Meanwhile, back at WFA headquarters, Chris Pickering, who freelances for Venues Today, has been hired as communications director for that group.

Peter Sullivan 

Peter Sullivan has been named general manager at Singapore Sports Hub, Spectra by Comcast Spectacor's business entity in Asia. Sullivan will also take on responsibilities as managing director of Global Spectrum Asia.

Sullivan spent the past 12 years with Spectra as general manager of the 63,000-seat University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, where he was responsible for oversight of all aspects of the facility’s operation and the development of the events calendar.

In his new role in Singapore, Sullivan will be responsible for supervision and oversight of the event experience at the Singapore Sports Hub where the company  provides both venue management and ticketing & fan engagement services. Global Spectrum Asia is a partnership between Spectra and the Singapore-based Pico Group.

Before joining Spectra (then Global Spectrum) in 2004, Sullivan was president of the Lansing (Mich.) Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority. He also spent 11 years with SMG, holding general manager and executive positions in numerous SMG facilities in the United States and Europe.

Sullivan received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa. and a master’s degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Sullivan and his wife Kristin recently relocated to Singapore.
