Chase Center in San Francisco hired Charles Marino as vice president of security. Marino was a partner at Opsec Alliance Partners, has worked with the Department of Homeland Security and spent 18 years with the U.S. Secret Service.
The International Code Council welcomed three new staff members. Ryan Colker joins as vice president of innovation. He was the manager of government affairs at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Karl Fippinger joins as vice president of fire and disaster mitigation. He managed professional development and exhibits for the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Catherine Vinson has been named assessment center manager. Vinson was an operations services quality manager for Protective.
Professional Bull Riders promoted Rebecca Duensing to director of live events. Duensing joined PBR in 2015 as a marketing manager and was made the senior marketing manager. She previously worked at Feld Entertainment.
Banc of California Stadium Entertainment hired Cori Gadbury as its first vice president of marketing. Gadbury was senior director of marketing at Live Nation for 15 years.
AudienceView appointed Lawrence Franco to be its chief operating officer. Franco was the president for North America for Global Knowledge. Franco’s background also includes executive-level roles with software and insights organizations including Teranet and Dun & Bradstreet.
NEC Group appointed Donovan Myers to the newly created role of Commonwealth Games project manager. Myers works as business change manager for NEC in Birmingham, England.
Emily Hixon joined Louisville Tourism as a convention sales assistant. Kathryn Peck is transitioning to the role of services assistant in Louisville Tourism’s destination services department after working as an assistant in the convention sales department for two years.
Australia’s Frontier Touring promoted Sahara Herald to tour director. She replaces Michael Harrison, who is relocating to Los Angeles from Sydney as senior vice president at AEG’s new Global Touring division. Herald joined Frontier after 18 years with Big Day Out.
The Madison Square Garden Co. named Ami Patel vice president of artist relations and VIP services for the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. Patel was director of national entertainment for iHeartMedia.
The Wisconsin Center District named Megan Seppmann vice president of sales. Seppmann was area associate director of sales for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. The district owns and operates the Wisconsin Center, Miller High Life Theatre, and UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
Los Angeles Convention Center hired Shaun Davis as vice president of operations. Davis served at the Mountain America Expo managed by SMG. Ben Zarhoud is the new vice president of finance. Zarhoud was senior director of finance at AXS and senior manager of finance at AEG and spent six years at Deloitte.
Maria Joe was named event manager at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Joe was meeting manager at Fernley & Fernley and an event manager for the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority.
Joe Reynolds was named an assistant vice president in the National Environmental and Construction Professional Liability Practice at RT Specialty/New Day. Reynolds was vice president and A&E product head at Hiscox Insurance, and vice president and executive underwriter in XL Catlin’s Design Professional division.
Eventbrite appointed Deborah Sharkey chief commercial officer and Crystal Valentine chief data strategy officer. Sharkey spent 10 years at eBay, and Valentine was vice president of technology strategy at Amherst College.
Joe Saprito and Jon Zorrilla rejoined the team at Stage Equipment. Saprito will be rental manager in Orlando, and Zorrilla becomes director of operations in Miami.
