John Dodd
SMG Tulsa, Okla., has filled several open positions at both the BOK Center and Cox Business Center. John Dodd has been named director of Operations for both facilities. He most recently served as director of event services for SMG Tulsa. Dodd came to Tulsa in 2008 after four years as event coordinator at the SMG-managed Chesapeake Energy Arena and Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
Trudy Sweeten
Trudy Sweeten has been promoted to director of event services for BOK Center and Cox Business Center. She joined the SMG Tulsa team as an event manager in 2008. Prior to her time with SMG Tulsa, Sweeten also spent four years at Chesapeake Energy Arena and Cox Convention Center, first in the food and beverage department, then as an event coordinator.
Brian Smith has also been promoted at SMG Tulsa to the role of special events manager. He joined the company in July 2012 as special events coordinator after interning at the BOK Center in 2011.
