Hot Tickets for February 12, 2014

Luke Bryan

Country dominated this week's chart, with George Strait, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean all touring. Luke Bryan had a few large shows, with his Jan. 25 date at Madison Square Garden in New York grossing more than $1 million. His two prior nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., grossed nearly $1.3 million. Next, Bryan heads to Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum Complex, Feb. 13. George Strait is being joined by the ladies of country music. Martina McBride played at Strait's Jan. 30 date at SAP Center at San Jose, Calif., while Miranda Lambert joined for a Jan. 31 show at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. Tickets for both shows ranged about $70-$90. Little Big Town will join the tour for Strait's next two shows, Feb.14 at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Mich., and Feb.15 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Several sporting events in Las Vegas also made Hot Tickets. USA Rugby Sevens grossed nearly $2 million at Sam Boyd Stadium. The three-day event drew more than 50,000 attendees. Also, the 2014 WFG Continental Cup of Curling had 11 shows at Orleans Arena, grossing more than $1 million. Finally, Jamz Cheerleading brought more than 15,000 attendees to Orleans Arena Jan. 24-27 following the curling event, which ended Jan.19.
