More than 27,000 people came to Justin Timberlake's shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, Feb. 20-21. The Live Nation-promoted dates grossed more than $3.5 million, with tickets starting at $49.50. Timberlake takes a break until March 30, when he begins the European leg of his tour at Motorpoint Arena Sheffield, U.K. The sold-out show is followed by two more capacity dates at O2 Arena in London, April 1-2 before making his way to Glasgow, Scotland's SSE Hydro April 4-5. Timberlake has dates scheduled in Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Israel, Portugal, Austria and Iceland, among others. He heads to Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, Sept. 18, and is scheduled to wrap the tour in Australia at Perth Arena, Oct. 9.
George Strait continues to 'ride away,' drawing huge grosses on his final tour. His March 7 show with Vince Gill at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky., grossed nearly $2 million. The next day, he and Gill drew more than 17,000 to Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. At Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Strait brought Martina McBride to perform, Feb. 28. The AEG Live and The Messina Group-promoted tour still has a few more stops, including Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., March 21 and Philips Arena in Atlanta, March 22. Strait is currently scheduled to hang up his cowboy hat for good June 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
