There's a reason that Rod Stewart keeps extending his Las Vegas residency. His nine-date run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace ended May 17 with a gross of more than $4 million. Stewart began a two-year residency of his show, Rod Stewart: The Hits, in 2011; however, extended the contract an additional two years in 2013. He has now added 18 new shows through the fall, beginning Sept. 20.
French-Canadian crooner Michael Bublé wrapped the Australian leg of his tour May 17, ending four shows at Allphones Arena in Sydney. The shows grossed more than $1 million each, with a total in excess of $6 million. Ticket prices started at more than $92. Bublé takes a couple of weeks off before heading to Canada for a string of 12 shows that begins at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, June 19. He'll work his way down the United States, into Mexico, and through to South America.
