University of Colorado, Boulder, has partnered with Paciolan for 29 years.

Paciolan has secured contract extensions with Georgia Tech, Purdue University and the University of Colorado, Boulder.

“The average lifespan of the Georgia Tech, Purdue University and University of Colorado, Boulder, partnerships is 30 years,” said Craig Ricks, Paciolan’s vice president of Marketing.

Purdue University’s contract has been extended to 2020, and Georgia Tech’s contract was extended until 2018. The University of Colorado did not disclose the length of its contract extension.

Georgia Tech has partnered with Paciolan since 1984.

With the renewed partnership, the university will be adopting mobile ticketing and delivery through Paciolan’s Access scanning solution beginning with the 2014 football season at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“Georgia Tech will utilize the platform of one of our sister companies, FanOne’s Marketing Automation, to deploy customized, triggered e-mail campaigns and retargeting messages based on fan behavior,” Ricks said. “This one-on-one marketing was a driver for extending the contract.”

The university also will continue using Paciolan’s eVenue online ticketing program to sell tickets in real-time at RamblinWreck.com.

Under the extended contract, Georgia Tech will continue to utilize Paciolan’s integration with partner StubHub, which provides a platform for ticket resale through its eCommerce site. The integration allows football and men’s basketball season, single-game or combo-pack ticket holders the opportunity to resell unused tickets on the secondary market.

“As we continue to work to sell and market smarter and more efficiently, the team at Paciolan provides a number of resources,” said Rick Thorpe, Georgia Tech’s associate athletic director, Sales and fan experience. “There are a handful of new things we’re doing with Paciolan that we’re in the process of rolling out or have rolled out in the last year that are above and beyond other ticketing services they’ve provided.”

In extending its 29-year contract with Paciolan, the University of Colorado, Boulder, will utilize its ticketing, marketing, fundraising and Customer Relationship Management solutions, and has implemented the company’s data warehouse solution.

“The university also is connecting with Ballena Technologies, one of our technology partners, that provides virtual 3D venue visualizations,” Ricks said.

Colorado will continue to sell tickets and process donations in real-time using Paciolan’s eVenue online ticketing solution at its branded website CUBuffs.com.

With the extended partnership, Colorado implemented Paciolan’s Ticketing Intelligence data warehouse program to analyze sales and customer data, compare ticket sales and fund development across seasons.

“Paciolan has done a great job in adding strategic partnerships with other companies and functionality with their system,” said Matt Biggers, associate athletics director of external affairs and chief Marketing officer at the University of Colorado, Boulder. “It made sense to extend this deal with them and the timing was right with the things we’re trying to do, such as provide more sophisticated data analysis and customer data reporting to maximize revenue. Plus, the integration with Ballena will benefit our fans.”

With the renewal of its 32-year partnership with Paciolan, Purdue University has recently implemented the company’s Customer Relationship Management and data warehouse solutions.

“Purdue is doing great work with CRM,” Ricks said.

Paciolan's marketing services has increased the university’s online single ticket adoption by 20 percent in the last year.

Leveraging Paciolan’s eVenue online ticketing system, Purdue continues to sell tickets and process donations in real-time at PurdueSports.com through its branded eCommerce site. The program provides online services and account management, giving fans the ability to pick seats via interactive seat maps for football and basketball events, and print tickets from home.

As an early adopter of Paciolan’s mobile delivery solution through the company’s Access management system, Purdue will continue to expand its efforts with the technology. Using mobile delivery, Purdue students can purchase tickets and receive 2D barcoded tickets on their mobile devices. The Access scanning system also provides fans with the ability to print tickets at home, transfer tickets to events and also allows staff to validate tickets and track attendance in real-time with  handheld scanners at entrances to events.

“Paciolan’s system allows us to customize our offerings,” said Chris Peludat, Purdue’s assistant director of Marketing and Ticketing. “We have control over how we set things up, pricing, online presentations and inventory management. Paciolan provides us with the ability to manage the system in-house, which makes it easier to make adjustments and put offerings out there from a speed and convenience standpoint.”

The university will also continue to utilize Paciolan’s partnership with StubHub.

“These three universities are examples of how new technologies have benefited long-term partnerships,” Ricks said. “It speaks to the value and strength of our business model, which leverages technology to sell brands and create relationships.”
