Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull’s Sex and Love tour, promoted by AEG Live, sizzled into California, grossing $3,143,554 over two nights at Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The Spanish pop king and Cuban rapper performed to 30,806 attendees on Oct. 11-12. Ticket prices ranged from $29.50 to $179.50. The Latin duo’s U.S. whirlwind tour continues with a stop at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. on Oct. 14, before heading south to the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Calif. on Oct. 15.
As fall creeps its way into the calendar and the weather, there were plenty of country concerts to comfort those still holding on to summers of denim shorts and sweet tea. The Messina Group and AEG Live-promoted Eric Church concert at Charleston (W. Va.) Civic Center grossed $478,634 and was attended by 9,700 with ticket prices ranging from $25 to $62.50 before heading to Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Oct. 9 for a gross sale of $636,393, a crowd of 11,296 and a high ticket price of $59.50.
With three shows over Oct. 8-11, Shania Twain brought a little country to Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Concerts West-, AEG Live- and Caesars Entertainment-promoted event grossed $1,099,675 for a total attendance of 8,799 and tickets ranging from $55 to $250.
