Soprano Renée Fleming's keynote address will be live streamed on Aug. 18.

Tessitura Learning & Community Conference (TLCC) 2015, Aug. 16-20 in Orlando will be Tessitura’s 15th installment. The first conference was held in 2001 and has grown dramatically since then. This year’s gathering of users of the arts enterprise software for ticketing, fundraising, customer management and marketing is expected to be the biggest yet, with a record-breaking attendance of over 1,700 registered attendees. TLCC 2015 will include over 240 sessions developed by and for Tessitura users.

Live streaming will be a unique feature of the conference once again. Jack Rubin, president of Tessitura, said they first incorporated session live streaming on their website at last year’s conference in Dallas, and it was met with a lot of success. The Tessitura Network user community is global, diverse in size and covers a wide range of arts, cultural and entertainment genres. Rubin said they have thousands of Tessitura users worldwide and hundreds more in the industry in the U.S. that aren’t able to attend the conference, so the live streaming is a great resource for them.

Soprano Renée Fleming will deliver the keynote address on Aug. 18 at 1:45 p.m. ET. This will be live streamed on Tessitura’s website for free. Rubin said Fleming is developing into a thought leader in the arts community, and her insight will really illustrate Tessitura’s depth beyond a tech solution by bringing in the community engagement aspect.

Her role as the first-ever Creative Consultant to Lyric Opera of Chicago and her work with Second City and American Voices with Renée Fleming illustrate cross-organizational collaborations that can advance and strengthen the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Her keynote address will focus on topics for which she has been a strong advocate: audience development, community engagement and arts education.

In addition to Fleming’s keynote, Rubin’s opening keynote and Tessitura’s Innovator Series Live will also be streamed live. Tessitura’s Innovator Series is an ongoing program of brief and inspiring presentations by industry innovators, each focused on a single theme to advance insight and innovation in the business of arts and culture. The next installment, live from the stage at TLCC, will include talks from Seb Chan, director of Digital & Emerging Media; Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum; Kelly Tweeddale, executive director, Seattle Opera; Russell Kelban, chief Marketing director; and Richard Lonsdorf, artistic administrator, San Francisco Symphony.

Started in 1998, the Tessitura Network is comprised of more than 500 of the world’s premiere arts and cultural organizations, including theaters, orchestras, performing arts centers, festivals, dance companies, opera companies, museums and university arts affiliated departments and venues.  Company efforts are guided by a team of industry professionals. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, the company is governed by an elected board of Tessitura users, and is fueled by fees for applicable services and products in addition to a dues-based membership program.
