New Executive Chef at Convention Center

image0031.jpgHong Kong Convention and Exhibition Management Limited (HML) has announced the appointment of Tam Kwok-sing as executive chef — Chinese kitchen. He will be responsible for all operations of all Chinese kitchens at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), along with the convention center's two Chinese restaurants, the Golden Bauhinia Cantonese Restaurant and New Shanghai. Chef Tam brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position. He has held a number of senior positions in hotel and restaurant groups in Hong Kong, the Philippines and Dubai, and was an important member of the opening team of the Shang Palace at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. He started his culinary career when he was just 16.
