VenuWorks Hires Silva

Michael Silva has been hired as the assistant executive director for VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids' four managed properties, which include the U.S. Cellular Center, the Paramount Theatre, McGrath Ampitheater and the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. Silva has held various roles at California University of Pennsylvania, Cambria County War Memorial and the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., and, before that, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. Silva earned his master's degree in Public Administration from City University of New York, and his experience in booking and venue operations were important skills that played into his hiring.
